The closing ceremony of the Thiruvananthapuram District Olympic Games was held at the Central Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.The Olympic Association's Momento was presented to the Sports Karate Association of Thiruvananthapuram (SKAT), the organizers of the District Games, by Transport Minister Antony Raju. SS Sudhir Momento, President of the Sports Council and Senior Vice President of the District Olympic Association presented the Varkala team to the overall champion club. Malayinkeezhu Biju Kumar, who named baby elephant Cheenu, the lucky symbol of the karate competition, was also given a cash award of Rs 2,022. There was also a karate performance by SKAT players.
